It all started with a loaf of sourdough… and a whole lot of frustration.

I’m Cascie Heart, founder of Little Bread Winner, and like many bread lovers, I was obsessed with fresh, crusty sourdough. But every time I tried to cut a thin slice, I’d end up with a mangled mess — or worse, a chunk so thick it could double as a doorstop (just like the ones bakeries hand out!). I knew there had to be a better way.

So, I set out to create the perfect bread-cutting tool for myself ,something sharp, precise, practical, and beautiful to use. That’s how the Little Bread Winner Bread Saw was born.

Handmade in Brisbane using locally sourced Australian timber, our bread saws are designed to make slicing fresh bread effortless. They create bakery-quality slices without the struggle, while also being safer and more comfortable to use than a traditional bread knife. Each saw is individually handcrafted, making every piece unique to you and your family.

But Little Bread Winner is about more than just better bread slices.

We believe sustainability and craftsmanship go hand in hand. Wherever possible, we use reclaimed and locally sourced materials, giving timber offcuts and discarded materials a second life instead of letting them end up in landfill. Every board, saw, and accessory is thoughtfully made with care, purpose, and longevity in mind.
