Q. Is solid surface heat resistant? A. Solid surface can withstand moderate heat but we recommend always using a trivet or heat mat to protect the surface from hot pots and pans.
Q. How do I clean my solid surface board? A. Simply wipe down with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid harsh abrasive cleaners. Unlike timber, solid surface is non-porous so it won't absorb liquids or odours.
Q. Can scratches be repaired? A. Yes! One of the great benefits of solid surface is that minor scratches can be buffed out with a fine abrasive pad, making it very easy to maintain.
Q. Is solid surface food safe? A. Absolutely. Our solid surface products are food safe and meet Australian standards for kitchen use.
Q. Do I need to oil it like timber? A. No — unlike our timber products, solid surface requires no oiling or special conditioning. It's a low-maintenance option that stays looking great with minimal care.
